Deejaying in Chicago at the epicenter of the house music explosion since the early 90s, Anthony "Disko" Foster lives and breathes to make his audience dance. With countless live performances under his belt, not only at acclaimed venues like Zentra Night Club, Park West, Enclave, on the air spots at WNUR (89.3fm), but also residencies at hotspots Beviamo, Red Star Tavern, Xippo, and Walter Payton's Round House with Mode Music, Anthony has been infusing the atmosphere with his original mixes of deep, melodic and vocal house, top 40, mashups, and hip hop for nearly three decades. Making a name for himself in the blurry, nostalgic days of legendary Chicago parties like Liquid Combat 1 & 2, Tetsuo, Five Deadly Venoms, The Four Horsemen, and Rave In The Shell, Anthony deejayed alongside innovator DJ's Skipp, Acidman, Mark Almaria, and Cajmere. Anthony’s career is also immeasurably influenced by artists like Julian Perez, Bad Boy Bill, Wizz Kid Walter, Josh The Funky One, Mike Dearborn, Darrell Woodson, Justin Long, and Paul Johnson among others.
Outside of his native Chicago area, Anthony has had the pleasure of performing at the Rise Lounge (Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Biloxi, MS), as well as Sapphire Lounge in Columbia, MO, and at Benevolence for DJEMA in Indianapolis, IN. Anthony took to scratching and turntablism as a supplement to his live performances, evolving his technique to compete and place within the top 3 in multiple Guitar Center Spin Off events in 2000 and 2002. On the dance floor as both performer and teacher, Anthony incorporates his ear for music with a vast dancing repertoire that combines break dancing with street and club dancing, alongside ballet training acquired from the Barat College Conservatory of Dance and The School of Ballet Chicago. His particular brand of dance landed him on the popular television show So You Think You Can Dance, and performances he continues to teach and choreograph for his youth dance company, Soleunique.
